About the Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will manage customer relationships and drive partnerships, growth, and innovation. This is an opportunity to become an e-commerce marketing consultant to large brands endemic brands across industries. You will also actively identify opportunities to amplify efficiencies in ads, and execute high impact initiatives to help us continuously build ad offerings and better features.
As a leader in this team, you will make data-driven and detail-oriented decisions to help scale Display Ads in Meesho. You will be accountable to meet business goals for your function.
What you will do
- •Analyze data, trends, performance and leverage your understanding of marketing and Meesho’s advertising solutions to create holistic marketing strategies for brands by working with senior decision-makers on the customer side.
- Prospect, penetrate and create new relationships with clients at all levels within endemic brands
- Actively recruit, engage, onboard and manage complete 360 relationships with non-endemic brands.
- Grow ad revenue from your customer cohort by offering great insights, engagement and service.
- Own and achieve targets of ad revenue and related metrics for a set of users
- Contribute strategically to the growth and direction of Meesho’s ad products and services.
- Share pain points of users with management, and contribute to brainstorming on potential solutions
- Pilot and implement solutions to drive long term success of ads program
- Lead, motivate the team and remove roadblocks to deliver on business goals
- Conduct cross-functional coordination with user onboarding, user support, analytics, and product teams across projects
What you will need
- 2+ years of sales experience
- Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers; Proven analytical abilities and proficiency in MS Excel/ Google sheets
- 2-5 years of experience in brand management / sales (managing large complex accounts) / business development or digital marketing; E-commerce business development experience is preferred
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to think strategically, plan meticulously and execute methodically. Adept at making data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders with individually developed concepts
- Excellent negotiation skills to face external and internal partners in a professional and mature manner
- An undergraduate degree in any discipline is a must. MBA/Post-Graduate degree is preferred
